Biodiversity

Biodiversity is a term used to describe the variability that exists within natural systems. Most of the time, when we use this term, we are referring to the number of different species within a system. You can also use the term to describe genomic diversity. Variation exists at all scales from molecules to Ecosystems and the resilience of a system is connected to its degree of diversity. The more diverse, the more resilient.

Stats - There are anywhere from 10 million to 100 million different species currently living on Earth.
